The AutoCoding Deva Divas are multiplying. Last year Partner Business Support Manager, Nicola Bebbington (pictured on the right above), took part in the event and this year she was joined by Rebecca Cullen, Business Administrator.
Over 320 women took part in the Deva Diva Triathlon on Sunday 16th July in Chester. Participants must swim 750m (open water swimming), ride 25km and run 5km. Nicola and Rebecca have been training over the last few months and both completed the course in well under 2 hours; with Nicola smashing her record from last year.
Although it was Rebecca’s first Triathlon, she placed herself under additional pressure by racing for Halton Haven Hospice. She succeeded in raising £300 for her efforts which made finishing all the more worthwhile.
Both Nicola and Rebecca are already planning their next sporting challenge, with rumours of another Triathlon and a half marathon.
Perhaps next year there’ll be another recruit joining them; so I’ll be keeping my head well down!
The Deva Divas Triathlon is a short distance ladies only race. It’s now a well-known popular event which, in 2016, won the coveted British Triathlon “Event of the Year”, Triathlon England Club Event of the Year and also North West Regional Race of the Year.
