The coding and labelling of consumer-packaged goods is something that we rarely think about – and why would we? We expect the products we buy to be manufactured according to strict guidelines which guarantee our safety. What goes on behind the scenes within manufacturing operations is not necessarily our concern; we put our trust in the retailers we buy from, assuming that they have exercised due diligence with their suppliers.
AutoCoding Systems develop mission-critical software solutions to facilitate the automation of factory packaging lines. Our software works at every layer from interaction with production line devices, such as printers, scanners and checkweighers, to interfacing with other business systems, such as ERP. By replacing human elements of the packaging line process, the AutoCoding software enhances the security of the manufacturing process, adding another level of protection to manufacturers, suppliers and, ultimately, consumers.
AutoCoding Systems is enjoying a period of global growth as more and more factories are recognising the benefits factory automation can bring. Additionally, our recent global partnership agreement with the international sensor solutions company, SICK AG, has led to a strong uptake in interest in our solutions, with substantial orders being taken not only in the UK, but also by our subsidiaries in Chicago and Melbourne.
To meet this growing demand for our software solutions, we are now recruiting new members to join our UK team. Specifically, we are looking for a Device Driver Developer, Systems Support Engineer, Project Engineer and Vision Specialist.
Ambition, enthusiasm and a positive attitude are as important as having the relevant skills for the individual roles. Although relatively small in number for an international company, we are big on expectations and you will be required to integrate quickly into a fast-paced challenging and rewarding environment.
You would be joining us at an exciting period of growth which will, no doubt, bring its own challenges. You may be pushed out of your comfort zone from time-to-time, required to use your creativity and ingenuity to solve complex problems along with other members of your team. Variety comes as standard; you may be required to support one of our subsidiaries in the US or Australia, work with one of our OEMs or visit a customer site in the UK; you will therefore need to be flexible and adaptive.
