AutoCoding Systems are delighted to announce the opening of their new US offices in Meridian, Idaho headed up by recently appointed US Director of Operations, Sam Vail.
Following their introduction to the US market at the Pack Expo exhibition in 2013, AutoCoding Systems have seen interest in their world-class coding and packaging verification solution soar.
The AutoCoding system automatically sets-up and controls all types of packaging line devices, including coding and labelling equipment, barcode scanners, checkweighing and metal detection equipment, outer case coders and pallet labellers, irrespective of manufacturer. US manufacturers, particularly in the food and beverage industries, are already recognising the business benefits offered by AutoCoding Systems’ packaging line automation solutions. These include increased speed and reliability of line set-up, reduced job changeover time, reduced risk of coding and packaging errors and the ability to manage complex packaging formats.
Sam Vail joins the business from Apex Manufacturing Solutions where he spent almost 7 years working with process and manufacturing companies addressing the challenges of improving production throughput, reducing waste and increasing uptime. He has extensive experience in manufacturing execution systems and enterprise control solutions, as well as process automation, integration and industrial performance measurement.
Mike Hughes, Managing Director, said, “This is a very exciting time for us all at AutoCoding Systems. The opening of our US office and appointment of Sam shows our commitment to developing the US market. Our investment in the US over the last couple of years has resulted in a number of major projects with some very high profile companies, thus confirming our view that the US is a strategically important market for us. Sam’s expertise in a wide range of control and business systems has already proved invaluable, working with our technical and development teams to develop the AutoCoding product’s integration capability. With Sam onboard we are anticipating our presence in the US to increase dramatically over the coming months.”
Sam commented, “The opportunity to introduce AutoCoding Systems to new Customers and Partners in the US is an exciting personal challenge, in an area of manufacturing I’m very familiar and comfortable with. The packaging line often lacks proper systems integration, and can be prone to human error and inaccessible data. The AutoCoding solution, when integrated with existing equipment, leads to a seamless end-to-end solution with considerable business benefits. I look forward to solving these challenges while ensuring the UK’s top-notch customer service and support is replicated here in the US.”
